Dignity is the opposite

Steve or Joe (can't remember which one) from Blues Clues has a song about potty training. Yes I know it is a big deal in kids and parents life; yes I know the guy probably makes more in a year than I will in my life; yes I know he is on TV and kids love him. But the fact of the matter remains that he is singing a song about crap and piss. It always reminds me of the Homey D Clown phrase "You know how you feel right now? Dignity is the opposite."

Nick Jr Educating your kids

When we first started watching Nick Jr the claims of benefits from the shows were a bit fantastical. I swear one of them read "Helps teach your children the financial formulas to fight a head to head financial battle with Goldman Sachs and their army of quants". The claims have been toned down more recently but really, I hate to break it to you Nick, that is not why we watch the shows.

Actually though I think they do that so us parents will feel less guilty about letting our kids watch cartoons.
